Intelligent Monitoring of License Consumption

“Visualizing actual consumption is the first step to optimizing licenses and reducing costs.”

1. Overview

The Almaden License-Consuming Products module shows the total consumption of licenses contracted with Almaden. Only installed agents that create a device record in the CIQ ITAM / CIQ DEX portal consume licenses.

All device types with Desktop Agent or Server Agent installed and a created device record are listed, showing the percentage of licenses consumed and detailing each device.

Note: If there is a ∞ (infinity) symbol, it means the account is pay-per-use and does not have a pre-contracted license pool.

2. Objective

Provide a complete view of Almaden license consumption, enabling:

  • Tracking actual usage per device;
  • Identifying active and inactive licenses;
  • Ensuring efficient license contract management.

3. How to Access

CIQ ITAM > Menu > Licensing > License registration > Almaden License-Consuming Products
