Software Approval
Introduction
Through the inventory in CIQ ITAM, it is ideal to apply a homologation status to each software detected in the corporate environment.
By default, all software appears as UNDEFINED (indicated in yellow) so that it can be updated according to corporate environment rules.
There are two statuses: APPROVED (green) for software allowed for installation in the system, and NOT APPROVED (red) for software that is prohibited or requires a license/permission for installation.
The constant verification and updating of the Software Approval (Homologation), helps to make visible possible deviations in the environment, facilitating the taking of measures, such as the uninstallation of non-approved software present in one or more machines, or the monitoring of machines that do not have a certain approved software/version and then apply a distribution to update the environment.
