AskAlma™
Introduction
AskAlma™ is an advanced AI-driven resource integrated into the CIQ DEX platform, designed to provide analytical insights through natural language interaction.
By leveraging the comprehensive telemetry data collected by CIQ DEX — including hardware, software, operating system performance, and WMI error reports — AskAlma™ delivers contextual and data-based responses to technical and business questions.
This feature empowers IT teams and decision-makers to interact directly with the CIQ DEX knowledge base, simplifying complex analyses and improving visibility into device health, application performance, and overall digital experience.

Functionality and Structure
AskAlma™ enables users to create predefined questions or formulate new queries dynamically, interacting with CIQ DEX data across three primary categories:
- Devices – Provides analytical insights related to device performance, hardware health, operating system stability, and user experience.
Examples: identifying slow devices, detecting degraded storage performance, or analyzing CPU usage patterns. - Collaboration – Focused on collaboration applications, such as Microsoft Teams, this category analyzes usage quality, call reliability, network latency, and sentiment metrics to identify and prevent performance degradation in real time.
- Business Applications – Delivers visibility into the behavior and performance of business-critical applications installed on devices, enabling impact analysis on productivity and application reliability.
AskAlma™ represents a key step toward a data-intelligent IT ecosystem, where questions are answered through the direct correlation of device, software, and user experience information — all within the CIQ DEX environment.

How to use AskAlma™
Devices
- Select the “Devices” category.
- Choose the question you created in AskAlma™ and click “Next.”


- Select up to 12 devices, then click “Ask Now.”

- Once the analysis is complete, the results will be displayed. Review the insights and apply the suggested actions to perform preventive maintenance proactively.

Collaboration
- Select the “Collaboration” category.
- Choose the question you created in AskAlma and click “Next.”

- Select up to 12 devices, then click “Ask Now.”Select up to 12 devices, then click “Ask Now.”

- When no frustrating experiences are detected on the selected devices, the following message will be displayed:

Business Applications
- Select the “Business Applications” category.
- Choose the question you created in AskAlma and click “Next.”

- Select up to 12 devices, then click “Ask Now.”

- Devices that may experience issues when using the selected software will be listed, along with the problems identified and suggestions for correction and optimization.

Create new Question

To create a new question, define the following parameters:
DEVICES
- Category: Devices, Collaboration, or Business Applications
- Template: Choose a template for the question
- Experience: Frustrating, Average, or Good
- Operating System: Select the operating system
- Click CREATE!
COLLABORATION
- Category: Devices, Collaboration, or Business Applications
- Template: Choose a template for the question
- Experience: Frustrating, Average, or Good
- Application: Select the collaboration app
- Click CREATE!
BUSINESS APPLICATIONS
- Category: Devices, Collaboration, or Business Applications
- Experience: Frustrating, Average, or Good
- Application: Select the business application
- Click CREATE!
The questions you create will now be available for selection in AskAlma™
.

In Settings, you can create, edit, or delete the questions created for AskAlma™
.
