Getting Started – Ways to Connect
Getting started with CIQ ITAM Secure Remote Access is easy. Follow these simple steps.

Things to Know
Basically, there are two different ways to use ISL Online. You can provide support to customers or access isolated computers.
a) Connect with a code (remote support)
The idea is to connect to the client without having to make firewall changes or deal with other restrictions. It’s as simple as possible. By sharing the code with the client, you can connect to anyone with an internet connection.

b) Connect with a password (isolated access)
Instead of using a code, you can have permanent access to computers by installing a remote access agent on any Windows, Mac, or Linux computer. Once isolated access is set up, your computers will appear in your control panel, allowing you to connect using an access password.
(Alternative for “isolated access” if preferred: standalone access)

Connect with a code
Step 1

Once logged into Automatos Remote Control Viewer, click the ‘Start New Session’ button.
The session code will be generated.
Note: Click the ‘+’ button in the top-left corner for more options.”
Step 2

You can choose various options for a client to join a session, depending on your preferences.
a) Recommended Option
Via CIQ ITAM> Menu> Remote Management> Remote Access
Ask your client to enter the session code on the ISL Online join page.
b) Alternative Options
“Automatos Remote Control Viewer” client
Ask your client to download and install client and enter the session code.
Email Invitation
Send an email invitation to your client. When the client clicks the invitation, the client app will download and the remote support session will start automatically.
From Your Website
Add a text box to your website allowing clients to join a remote session directly from there.
Live Chat Remote Support
Provide technical support to your website visitors via live chat. Send an invitation link to your client with one click. When the client clicks this invitation link, the client app will download and the support session will start automatically.
Step 3

Congratulations, you’re connected! You can now control the remote computer.
Connect with a Password
Step 1

In the Computers tab, click on the online computer you want to connect to.
Note: Click the “+” button in the top-left corner to Set Up Isolated Access.
Step 2

Enter the access password and click the “Connect” button.
